Learning ObjectivesAt the end of the course, the partaker will be able to:
- > Establish the protocol for diagnosis and treatment of luxated permanent teeth due to trauma.
- > Determine the type of splint indicated for each traumatic injury/experience.
- > Establish the proper handling of a luxated tooth with an immature apex and its long term control.
Traumatic dental injury is an untended condition despite its high prevalence. These injuries have a high impact over individuals and society causing a loss of dental organs, that may be attributed to the great fragmentation in knowledge when treating this condition. The protocol to establish a clinic procedure for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis when facing this condition will be analyzed. The importance of ferulitation and its indications will also be discussed.
