Abstract

The increased survival rate of very preterm, and especially extremely preterm children, contributes to the creation of a new group of children in society. These children deserve treatment tailored to their specific medical condition. In terms of their dental care, it must be based on the most frequent pathologies among this group, i.e. dentofacial deformities, enamel alterations (hypoplasia and enamel opacities), dental size and changes to the dental mineral content.
