Learning Objectives

  • Show the changes that the new century has brought to the field of orthodontics.
  • > Teach how to adapt to new circumstances.
  • > Offer new methods to make faster, aesthetic, and efficient orthodontics without forgetting old but valid precepts.

Abstract

In recent years people tend to make everything easier, more comfortable and faster.
Orthodontics has also been affected by this phenomenon. Patients want faster and more aesthetic treatments. Young orthodontists also want to make treatments easier and less committed. In this sense, a series of devices designed for this purpose have emerged.
Adapting to the changes is essential, so we must incorporate in our consultations all techniques that allow more efficient treatments.
We present techniques that today allow faster, aesthetic, and comfortable treatments, while remaining faithful to old, but established, orthodontic principles, discarding those that have been made obsolete.
