Time: 15:00 - 16:00
Room: EL GRECO (PV7)
Language: Spanish
Chair(s): Luis Rasal (Spain)

Learning Objectives

  • > To diagnose the periodontal lesions amenable for periodontal regeneration
  • > To learn the surgical techniques providing the best outcomes in periodontal regeneration
  • > To learn how to approach the selection of the regenerative technology based on the anatomy of the lesion
  • > To describe the future focus on tissue engineering techniques applied to periodontal regeneration

Abstract

This presentation will focus on the periodontal  lesions  for  which  our  current  periodontal  regenerative approaches are able to predictably achieve periodontal regeneration. We will describe in detail the diagnosis of these lesions and describe the factors that influence the success of these surgical interventions: a) the patient; b) the anatomy of the lesion; c) the surgical technique and the regenerative technology. Finally we shall foresee the technologies of the future and our research prospectives in this area.
